On Thursday, March 11, 2004, terrorists carrying rucksacks laden with explosives bombed four crowded, rush-hour commuter trains entering Madrid during peak travel time.
191 people from 17 countries were murdered and more than 1,800 people were injured.
In honour of those who were killed, the day is now known as European Victims of Terrorism Day.
Please join us in remembering those lost on that terrible day, those who were injured, those who were traumatized, and all those who love them.
