The Christopher Santora Educational Scholarsip
In memory and celebration of Christopher and the special person he was, the Firefighter
Christopher Santora Educational Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the continuing education
of young American students from all walks of life. We award scholarships not based on
school grades, recommendations, or academic success. This scholarship celebrates that
student who can engage the judges in a topic taken from today's poitical or historical forums.
Often our winners are the ones who more blend in than stand out for their academic
accomplishments. They show us passion and skill when we ask our annual essay question.
They show us a spark, a flame. They make an emotional connection with us through their
words and ideas. These are the students we seek to encourage, the flame es we seek to
kindle. We have a total of 40 scholarship winners so far, including 12 College scholarships of
$8,000 each.
